Who we are
Tea London Limited (www.tealondon.co.uk / tealondon.co.uk) is a custom audio visual installation company based in the United Kingdom.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the contact form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
We will never divulge or sell your contact information to any third party. Tea London rarely sends out bulk emails for marketing purposes, and such emails are typically targeted to existing customers rather than to persons or organisation that have made use of our contact forms.
Under GDPR guidelines, we will keep any information collected in our contact forms securely, and will ensure that access to this data is limited to authorised Tea London Limited personnel only.
You may formally request that we disclose any information we have collected on you, however we will need to validate that you are the indeed the person or organisation that we have collected information on, this policy is to protect your privacy and to ensure that this information is not divulged to parties that are impersonating you.
Further, we can delete or remove any information collected on you if you formally request us to do so – again you will be required to prove your identity to us to ensure that the request is valid, and it is not a rogue agent impersonating you.
In cases where we delete information held, it would mean that we would lose any subscription preferences, consent or ‘opt-out’ options you may have selected in the past, thus if you were to revisit our site, or provide information in the future, this data will be collected and stored on our servers, despite you explicit wishes to opt-out.
Thus the only way to remain permanently ‘opted-out’ will be to:
a) formally request the removal of your data
b) once we have confirmed its removal, to never visit Tea London Limited’s website again. If you revisit the site, through the processes of automation of anti-spam and anti-hacking detection, your pertinent data will be collected.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Who we share your data with
We use Google Analytics to measure site activity. Whilst we don’t knowingly share any information with any other organisation, Google very well may use the analytics information for their own purposes.
This same analytics engine is likely tracing all of your web activity, i.e. it is not specifically your activity on the tealondon.co.uk website, in otherwords you are likely being tracked regardless of the sites you use and how you access our website. Tea London can therefore offer no insights or guarantees on any external engines that may be collecting information on you.
How long we retain your data
If you contact us or leave a comment, the data and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments and contact forms may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
